Preston retains a pub (the Half Moon & Seven Stars), a village stores, an excellent butcher, riding and garden centres whilst Wingham, 2 miles away has The Dog Inn, an award-winning gastro restaurant, further stores, a garage and dentist’s surgery. In nearby Ickham is The Tor Spa.
Canterbury offers all the amenities associated with a major provincial city including an extensive shopping centre, the Marlowe & Gulbenkian theatres, together with a hospital and other services.
Preston is served daily by a local bus service, whilst from Canterbury East and West mainline stations there are connections to the high-speed train service at Ashford, the travel time to London’s St Pancras being just 56 minutes.
Exquisitely presented and retaining all its character, Hardacre House provides extensive accommodation including an entrance hall with access to the sitting room with sofas and a woodburner, a dining room that can seat 10 with French doors to the garden; a snug with smart TV and sofas, and a fully equipped ‘farmhouse’ kitchen.

There is plenty of parking and extensive gardens with table and chairs, ideal for summer evenings.
Within in the grounds are two further cottages, Twyne Cotatge, a 2-bed single storey cottage and Peper Cottage, a one bed single storey cottage, also available to rent by separate arrangement.
